FACULTY

The faculty of Saint Paul are dedicated to preparing men and women for the practice of Christian ministry. They are scholars of faith who have made a primary commitment to educating students for ministry in a complex world. Faculty members at Saint Paul understand their role as that of teacher-pastor. In addition to preparing students for ministry, they are involved in the life of local congregations and in the work of their denominations.

This healthy tension between their identity as academic specialists and as persons in ministry enhances their teaching effectiveness. While reflecting diverse backgrounds and a variety of perspectives, the faculty is united in a common commitment to Jesus Christ, to the Gospel, and to the church. They are also committed to the formation of students for ministry-being supportive while holding students accountable to the highest standards of integrity, academic rigor, and excellence in ministry.

"Many of the professors are gifted communicators and scholars.  I have found the Saint Paul faculty to be accessible and encouraging."
