Welcome to Saint Paul School of Theology!
I am delighted that you are interested in learning more about our degrees. As you explore our website, you will see we work to follow our mission statement to “educate persons for leadership in the ministry of the church, which is called to be the continuing incarnation of Jesus Christ.”
Saint Paul seeks to integrate the spiritual and the academic throughout the curriculum, weaving together theory and practice. Courses integrate biblical interpretation, church history, and theology with the practice of ministry. Class discussions revolve around real-life issues that ministers face in our changing and diverse world.
Within our curriculum our students have an opportunity to broaden their perspective through an “immersion” experience. The immersions are designed to allow our students to enter into a setting that is different from anything they have ever experienced. In recent years, students have embarked on both international and U.S. based immersions to serve among diverse populations in a wide variety of ministry settings, such as Guatemala, Korea and China, Brazil, Haiti, the Gulf Coast Region with hurricane relief efforts, monastic centers, Native American settings, and prison ministry immersions. Immersions take place in rural, urban, and suburban areas.
I would encourage you to visit Saint Paul so that you are able to meet with faculty, students, experience worship, and become a part of the Saint Paul community. I look forward to meeting you on campus.
Grace & Peace,
